BUPA and Other Insurers

Whilst the majority of our patients are self-referred and self-funding, we are also appointed to provide our services and treatments through medical insurers, like Bupa, Vitality, WPA, etc.

It’s really important to note that each patient must ensure their insurer covers the practitioner they wish to see here and the procedure. This is because each insurer is different and even ‘plans’ and ‘levels’ of cover vary for patients within a single insurer!

You can either opt to pay for your treatment at the time, and then send our receipt off to your insurer for reimbursement. Alternatively, you can contact your insurer prior to your appointment/s with us and ask for an ‘authorisation code’ or ‘pre-auth number’. If you quote this number to us before your appointment, we can invoice your insurer directly, for them to make the payment/s to us.

• Please note, that if you don’t have opportunity to provide your insurance policy details in advance of your appointment, our policy is to request you make debit/credit card payment at your appointment.

Some insurers prefer to recognise us as Clinic, whilst others recognise our individual consultants. Our provider numbers are listed as follows for your reference, but please check you’re covered with your insurer

Leanne Whitby: As Leanne is both a Podiatrist and Physiotherapist, we ask you get Bupa Physiotherapy authorisation to see her, with our Physio number: 80009416.

If you pay for your appointment with our Podiatrists or Physiotherapists on the day, we’ll email a receipt to you which you can forward to MediCash or Health Shield. According to your payment plan with them, they may reimburse you some/all of the amount that you’ve paid.

NFU Mutual

You may see request an authorisation code from NFU, to attend any of our Podiatrists or Physiotherapists simply by quoting our Clinic provider name: “In Motion Clinics Ltd, Chester.”

Vitality Health (previously Standard life and PruHealth)

If you pay for your appointment with our Podiatrists, Physiotherapists on the day, we’ll email a receipt to you which you can forward to Vitality. According to your payment plan with them, they may reimburse you some/all of the amount that you’ve paid.

Note:  we are unable to bill Vitality directly.   Vitality members can claim medical expenses back themselves once they’ve paid us in Clinic.
